Curative New Berlin Therapies

CNBT now has a pediatric occupational therapist who has training in the Learning Without Tears curriculum from Pre-K through 5th grade. Emily has received her level 1 certification and is now a Handwriting Without Tears handwriting specialist. She has training in The Print Tool® standardized assessment to evaluate, interpret, and score various handwriting components. It assesses capital letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. The Print Tool® is a comprehensive evaluation tool that encompasses the three most achievable handwriting goals, tracks progress, and determines remediation taught handwriting curriculums: D’Nealian, Handwriting Without Tears, and Zaner-Bolser. This certification allows Emily to write client-centered reports and use set activities. She strives to incorporate a multi-sensory approach into her treatment sessions to maximize the child’s engagement, participation, and functional outcomes in therapy.

The Learning Without Tears incorporates:

  1. Multisensory approach (Putty, Wet-Ory-Try, Mat Man, Wood pieces, Stamp and See Screen, Chalkboard)
  2. Simple language (big line, little line, big curve, little curve)
  3. Unique letter order and style for teaching.
  4. Double lines to assist with placement and legibility.

Call the clinic at 262-782-9015 for more information about this distinctive program for your child.
