Medical Billing Assistant -- Full-time position at Curative - 92nd Street.
- General
Description: The Medical Billing Assistant will be responsible for all functions of the accounts receivable process. Candidate will be responsible for generating, analyzing and sending out patient account billings as well as third party payor billings as well as the submission of all electronic claims to Medicaid and other third party payors. This position will perform all functions related to the collection of delinquent accounts, to include follow up phone calls and resubmission of claims to third party payers, process daily cash receipts and posts all cash receipts to patient accounts. Verifies insurance benefits for all payor sources for new referrals and for on-going services. Assisting with a variety of other accounting support and general accounting projects as needed.

- General
Description: Family Service Coordinators provide case management/service coordination for children ages zero to three who evidence a developmental delay or other atypical development. Service Coordinators conduct screenings, facilitate eligibility determination, organize and participate in evaluations and develop plans for care. Service Coordinators link families with community resources, teach families how to be effective advocates for their children, and assist families in arranging for services their children may need at the time of discharge. Service Coordinators demonstrate excellent documentation, organization and customer service skills.
- Skills
and Qualifications: The Family Service Coordinator must have:
- Knowledge of the local service delivery system, the target group’s needs, the need for integrated services, and the resources available or needing to be developed.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a human service related field (Human service related fields are those that include coursework in areas such as human development, psychology, social services or similar areas) OR
- years or more of experience as a Family Service Coordinator (or equivalent case management position) OR
- Successful completion of the Human Services Associate Degree internship program through MATC and CCN.
