Volunteer Opportunities at Curative Care Network

Curative Volunteers perform a variety of tasks that support Curative staff, while at the same time creating a pleasant experience for participants who rely on services provided by Curative. Prospective volunteers work with the Human Resource Services Department and site supervisors to match talents and interests to volunteer positions.

Volunteers may provide assistance:

  • At one of Curative's Adult Day Services programs for persons with developmental disabilities.
  • At Curative's Senior Care Center in Waukesha for older adults with dementia and/or health concerns.
  • At Curative's Memory Program in Menomonee Falls for adults experiencing early memory loss.

Volunteer responsibilities may include assistance with clerical tasks, food preparation and/or service and assistance with program activities and community outings.

For the well-being of persons served, Curative volunteers must meet certain eligibility requirements before being assigned to a specific area.

Age Requirements: The minimum age to volunteer at Curative is 18.

Application Process: The initial interview will include a tour of Curative, completion of the application form and identification of service interest areas. References are check by Human Resource Servicess staff members. Each volunteer is required to fill out a Background Character Verification Form.

Health Screening: Each volunteer must show proof of a negative tuburculosis skin test done within the last three months. Volunteers also must take and pass a test on Universal Precautions after watching a video.

Placement: Upon placement, specific training will be provided by the supervisor of the assigned area. A volunteer job description is provided.
