Our Programs Support Independence

Curative's Adult Day Services programs serve adults age 18 and older in Southeast Wisconsin who have a developmental disability or other limiting conditions. Individuals may chose daily program activities based on personal abilities, interests and goals. Curative's programs help adults with developmental disabilities develop the skills necessary to achieve the highest possible level of personal and community indpendence. Programs also provide respite opportunities for caregivers.

Hours & Locations

Curative offers nine adult day center programs at six community-based locations in Milwaukee, Cudahy, West Allis and Menomonee Falls. These Milwaukee and Waukesha County sites are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Whirlpool bathing services are offered from 8 am to 2 pm at the Curative - 92nd Street location.

We Offer Specialized Programming for Adults with Developmental Disabilities

Curative's specialized Adult Day Services programs include:

Club Curative -- A program specifically for younger adults with developmental disabilities aged 18 to 29.

Curative - Medical Day -- A program that provides care for persons who have severe developmental disabilities and who are medically fragile.

Curative - Assisted Day -- A program for adults with developmental disabilities and conditions related to aging, including dementia, chronic illness and frail health.

Individualized Day programming for adults with developmental disabilities who find it difficult and stressfull to engage in group and/or structured activities. Staffing support makes it possible for these individuals to self-direct activities.

Paid employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.

Our Talented Staff

Depending on the needs of program participants, Curative's team members may include Program Coordinators, Program Specialists, Activity Specialists, Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses and an Art Therapist. Curative offers regularly scheduled training and educational opportunities for staff. An on-site Manager/Supervisor is assigned to each of the program locations.

Quality Assurance

A formal review of Curative's Adult Day Services programs is conducted by CARF -- the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation facilities -- every three years to ensure Curative follows national standards of care.
